About the design

Harlequin Hop in tobacco brown. A small harlequin diamond on a 3" (8 cm) vertical repeat, lively in pattern but easy to live with.

Part of the Classic Collection by Jules Haines: four designs, each in five colorways, printed to order by a heritage printer in London. Each design is printed onto surplus linen-cotton roll ends already at the printworks, giving existing fabric a second life. Printing is digital and on demand with water-based pigment inks, so only what is ordered is made. Represented in the United States by Sister & Sewn.

56% linen, 44% cotton. 53½" (136 cm) wide. Light to medium weight, 20,000 Martindale rubs. Suited to curtains, blinds, lampshades, headboards, cushions and upholstery.

Because the base fabric is surplus, shade can vary slightly from the sample. For larger orders, Haines can send a small cutting for approval before printing.
