How do I shop Sister & Sewn?

All shopping happens through The Fabric Library, where you’ll find our curated selection of to-the-trade designer fabric remnants. Choose your fabric, select your pillow size and finishing options, and we’ll sew your piece by hand, made to order.


Are your pillows ready-made or made to order?

Our pillows are made to order. Once you place your order, we cut and sew your pillow by hand in small batches. This allows us to focus on craftsmanship and detail while working with limited-quantity textiles.


What does “to-the-trade fabric” mean?

To-the-trade fabrics are designer textiles traditionally available only to interior designers. We source these exceptional remnants and thoughtfully reimagine them into one-of-a-kind pillows for your home.


Why are quantities limited?

Because we work with fabric remnants, availability is naturally limited. Once a fabric is gone, it may not return. This ensures each piece feels special, collected, and truly unique.


What sizes do you offer?

Pillow sizes vary by fabric and availability. Available sizes will be listed on each product page within The Fabric Library. If you are interested in a custom size, please email us sisterandsewn@gmail.com


Do pillows come with inserts?

All listings are for pillow covers only.

If you would like inserts, we partner with a Dallas-based vendor and can arrange for inserts to be shipped directly to you from our preferred supplier. Please reach out prior to placing your order and we can discuss pricing. 


Can I choose a different backing fabric?

Yes. Many of our pillows offer the option of a solid backing or a double-sided design. Available options will be listed on the product page. If you do not see what you are looking for on the product page, please contact us and we may be able to accommodate your request depending on remaining fabric. 


How long will my order take to ship?

Because each pillow is made to order, please allow a short lead time for sewing and finishing before shipment. Estimated lead times range from 1-3 weeks. 


How should I care for my pillow?

We recommend spot cleaning or professional cleaning as needed to preserve the integrity of the fabric.


Are your pillows kid- and pet-friendly?

Our pillows are designed for real life and meant to be lived with. That said, fabric durability varies by textile, and some fabrics may be better suited for lower-traffic spaces.


What is your return policy?

We want you to be happy with your purchase.

If for any reason your pillow isn’t the right fit, we accept returns within 14 business days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in its original condition. Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer.

Once your return is received and inspected, we will issue a refund to the original form of payment, excluding original shipping costs.


Can I request a custom order?

At this time, we focus on the fabrics available in The Fabric Library. Custom requests may be considered on a limited basis. Please contact us to inquire. 


Do you offer local pickup?

Local pickup may be available in Dallas Fort Worth. Please reach out with questions and to make arrangements before placing your order.
