Sister & Sewn is a sister-founded home décor studio rooted in family, creativity, and the belief that beautiful things should be part of everyday life, not saved for someday.

We grew up surrounded by women who valued making a home feel warm, layered, and welcoming without excess. Our grandmother, in particular, had a gift for creating beauty through thoughtful details, resourcefulness, and care. That philosophy continues to guide everything we make.

Sister & Sewn was born during a season of loss, reflection, and reconnection, when creativity became both grounding and healing. What began as sewing pillows at home quickly grew into something more meaningful: a way to slow down, work by hand, and create objects that carry story and intention.

Two Sisters, Two Worlds

Sister & Sewn is shaped by our different paths and shared values.

Cassidy is a clinical psychologist based in Texas, where her work centers on presence, care, and understanding what helps people feel grounded and well. Her background deeply influences the way we approach design, favoring calm over chaos, meaning over trends, and spaces that feel nurturing rather than performative.

Tara lives in Washington, D.C., where she works in biomedical sales. With a background rooted in strategy, relationship-building, and precision, she brings a thoughtful, operational lens to the business. Together, we balance creativity and structure, intuition and execution, allowing Sister & Sewn to grow with intention.

Though we live in different cities, we work closely, sharing ideas, decisions, and the belief that the best things are made thoughtfully and collaboratively.

The Fabric Library

At the heart of Sister & Sewn is The Fabric Library, where you shop our curated selection of to-the-trade designer fabric remnants. These exceptional textiles, often sourced from the design world and available only in limited quantities, are thoughtfully reimagined into one-of-a-kind pillows made to order.

Working with remnants allows us to honor craftsmanship, reduce waste, and create pieces that feel collected and personal. Because of this process, quantities are limited and no two runs are ever exactly the same.

Going Back to Basics

We are intentionally going back to basics, slowing down and honoring the craft of handmade.

Each pillow is sewn in small batches, with care given to construction, proportion, and detail. We value quality over speed, intention over mass production, and making things well rather than making more.

Our pieces are designed for real life, including kids, pets, gatherings, quiet moments, and everything in between. Nothing we make is meant to feel too precious to use.
