The Founding Collection
The Founding Collection brings together five independent studios and design brands, each selected for a distinctive visual language and an exceptional approach to color, pattern, and craft.
Presented by Sister & Sewn for the American design community, the collection launches September 1, 2026, in New York.
The First Chapter
Sister & Sewn brings together distinctive textiles, wallcoverings, and creative voices through thoughtful partnerships. Each collection is presented with a clear sense of its origin, the people behind it, and the process that shaped it.
The Founding Collection introduces five independent studios and design brands, each selected for a distinct point of view and an exceptional approach to color, pattern, and craft.
Through collection development, storytelling, trade presentation, sourcing support, and, where appropriate, American production, Sister & Sewn helps bring this work into new rooms while preserving the character that made it compelling in the first place.

The Sister & Sewn Model
Sister & Sewn develops thoughtful relationships with independent studios and design brands, helping exceptional work reach designers, showrooms, editors, and collectors through clear storytelling and trusted trade presentation.
The role differs across the collection. Some designs are developed into new American colorways. Some are produced in the United States. Others remain made by the original studio and are introduced to a wider American audience through Sister & Sewn.
What remains consistent is transparency around origin, production, creative ownership, and the people behind each design.
Each collection is presented with its studio, story, and process intact.
Production and distribution details are communicated clearly for each partner.
Scale, color, material, and usability are considered with real rooms and the design trade in mind.
Color, Pattern and Place
The Founding Collection draws from varied places, traditions, and personal histories, from the Maine coast and Texas ranch country to British decorative arts and Baltic folk motifs.
Together, these references form a collection connected by a shared appreciation for color, material, and distinctive design.
New York · Fall 2026
The collection will be presented in New York beginning September 1, 2026, at The Collective on the 4th floor of the Decoration & Design Building, introducing the founding roster to designers, showrooms, editors, and collectors.
