DECOUPE is the fabric and wallpaper world of British artist Jessica Russell Flint. Trained at Central Saint Martins, Jessica is known for expressive hand-painted pattern, vivid color and an instinctive mix of wit, nature and British eccentricity. Her work has grown from original artwork into a distinctive decorative language across interiors, textiles and wallcoverings.
For the Sister & Sewn Founding Collection, the collaboration began with Jessica’s existing artwork and a shared exploration of color. Rather than treating colorways as simple recolors, Sister & Sewn and Jessica developed palettes rooted in places and memories that have had meaningful impact in our lives. Among them: a family ranch, and a family place in Boothbay Harbor, Maine, where dahlias and the memory of place became part of the color story.
The result brings Jessica’s British hand into conversation with an American sense of place. Exclusive Sister & Sewn colorways translate memory, landscape and personal history into Jessica’s unmistakable patterns, while preserving the character of the original artwork in textiles and wallcoverings produced in the United States for the American design trade.
