I'm a clinical psychologist whose work centers on grief, loss, and what it means to feel grounded and well. It's fitting, then, that Sister & Sewn grew out of one of the hardest seasons of my life.
After losing our grandmother in 2024, I found myself drawn to making things with my hands. My daughter — then five years old — asked if I could sew. That question felt like an invitation I couldn't ignore. I signed up for a class at Urban Spools in Dallas but couldn't wait for it to start. So I bought a machine and taught myself from videos after the kids went to sleep.
My background in psychology shapes everything about how we design — favoring calm over chaos, spaces that feel nurturing, and beauty that is meant to be lived with and enjoyed every day.

I've always been drawn to building things and to the precision and care that good work requires. When Cassidy called me about sewing, I bought a machine the same week. We learned together from opposite ends of the country — sharing progress, mistakes, and small wins over text.
My background in biomedical sales — rooted in strategy, relationship-building, and attention to detail — is what keeps Sister & Sewn moving forward. I bring the operational lens; Cassidy brings the creative eye. Together, we make something neither of us could alone.
Distance hasn't slowed us down. If anything, it's made us more deliberate about everything we do.
And while you'll usually find the two of us behind the sewing machine, we do have a third sister — our oldest and biggest cheerleader — who we're pretty sure will be roped in soon.
We're so glad you're here.
